The application procedure for a Student Pass in Singapore generally follows these steps:
- Receive Offer of Acceptance: Obtain an offer of acceptance from an educational institution in Singapore approved by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
- Apply Online: Submit the Student Pass application online through the Student’s Pass Online Application & Registration System (SOLAR) provided by ICA. The educational institution may assist in submitting the application.
- Required Documents: Prepare and upload all required documents, including a completed application form, passport details, recent passport-sized photograph, offer letter from the educational institution, proof of financial ability, medical examination report, and any additional documents specified by ICA.
- Application Processing: ICA reviews the Student Pass application, verifies the submitted documents, and conducts any necessary background checks.
- In-Principle Approval (IPA): If the application is successful, ICA issues an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter to the applicant and the educational institution.
- Medical Examination: Undergo a medical examination at an authorized clinic or hospital in Singapore as specified in the IPA letter.
